A year ago, we celebrated reaching 50,000 clusters. Today, we've grown to over 200,000 clusters serving thousands of organizations worldwide. This post is a celebration of our incredible second year—and a preview of where we're going.

By the Numbers

203,847
Clusters Deployed
$18.7M
Customer Savings
99.99%
Platform Uptime
52
Global Regions

These numbers represent real teams building real products—startups training their first ML models, enterprises migrating from legacy infrastructure, and everything in between.

Major Milestones

Q1: Foundation for Scale

We started 2024 with strong momentum from our launch year. The focus was on scaling infrastructure to meet growing demand.

Q2: Platform Maturity

We invested heavily in reliability and developer experience. Our uptime improved from 99.97% to 99.99%.

Q3: Enterprise Expansion

Enterprise adoption accelerated. We signed 15 Fortune 500 companies and launched dedicated enterprise support.

Q4: AI Infrastructure Leadership

The AI infrastructure market exploded. We became the go-to platform for cost-effective GPU compute.

Customer Stories

Behind every cluster is a team building something. Here are a few highlights:

"We've been on KubeBid since 2023 and have watched the platform mature incredibly. Our ML training costs are down 72% year-over-year, and the new predictive pricing feature has been a game-changer for budget planning."

James Chen — CTO, Scale AI

"The serverless inference launch changed everything for us. We can now deploy models with zero capacity planning and only pay for actual usage. Our inference costs dropped 65% overnight."

Dr. Maria Santos — VP AI Infrastructure, Databricks

"Moving to KubeBid was the best infrastructure decision we made in 2024. The enterprise tier gives us the support and SLAs we need, while the auction pricing saves us millions annually."

Robert Kim — SVP Cloud Infrastructure, Walmart

Team Growth

We started 2024 with 42 people. We're ending it with 127. This year we opened offices in London and Singapore, hired our first dedicated enterprise sales team, and brought on engineering leaders from AWS, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure.

In March, we closed our Series B at $85M led by Coatue, with participation from our existing investors Sequoia, Andreessen Horowitz, and Index Ventures. This capital is fueling our international expansion and R&D investments.

What We Learned

Year two brought different challenges than year one. Here's what we learned:

  1. Scale changes everything. What worked at 50K clusters breaks at 200K. We rebuilt our control plane twice this year to handle the load.
  2. Enterprise is a different game. Fortune 500 companies need compliance certifications, dedicated support, and custom SLAs. Building for enterprise is its own discipline.
  3. AI workloads are different. The surge in GPU demand taught us that ML workloads have unique patterns. We're building specialized features for this market.
  4. Global means global. Expanding to APAC and EMEA required more than just spinning up regions. Time zones, regulations, and local partnerships matter.

Looking Ahead: 2026

We're just getting started. Here's what's coming:

Thank You

To our customers: thank you for trusting us with your infrastructure. We don't take that responsibility lightly.

To our team: thank you for the late nights, the on-call rotations, and the relentless drive to make cloud compute better.

To everyone who's been following our journey: 2024 is going to be incredible. We can't wait to show you what we're building.

Happy holidays from all of us at KubeBid.
